Design durevole per ogni giorno – contro la cultura dell’usa e getta.
iittala è un marchio di design riconosciuto a livello internazionale che offre oggetti di design per l’arredamento d’interni. ittala continua ad essere il “primus motor” nel design scandinavo con la sua missione “Design durevole per ogni giorno contro la cultura dell’usa e getta”.
Nel mondo si è sempre più consapevoli del valore del design durevole. I prodotti devono poter servire tutti i giorni e resistere ai cambiamenti di gusti e tendenze.
I designer di iittala hanno un rapporto di rispetto verso il materiale con cui lavorano, e sono anche aggiornati sugli ultimi sviluppi tecnologici usufruendone nel loro lavoro.

Lempi glass – designed by Matti Klenell 2012

Lempi glass designed by Matti Klenell is new everyday: a glass for any occasion where there is room for both the informal and the spectacular.
It should express practicality and a poetry where the occasion, when the glass is being used, decides what you see in it. A less formal design that communicates freshness even if it is based on tradition.
It is a basic glass but it should have immediate attitude and like a pictogram for drinking it should be a clearly visible piece on the dinner table.
The glasses save space in the cupboards, they are stackable: the glass foot fits the inside of the bowl. By relating the coupe shape with the thick foot and the length of the stem the glass has been designed to stack in a reliable way.
The glass brings beauty and joy for all everyday occasions.
